Integrate.

Project success requires a smooth, seamless integration of work back into the daily operations of the business.

Projects are considered temporary efforts with a distinct beginning and end.  This allows project work to stand apart from the ongoing operational efforts of an organization.  However, project assets need to be integrated back into an organization. This include the project work that has just been completed.  This integration can include the handoff of resources and documents that update organizational knowledge base as well as project results into operational efforts.  The project manager ensures effective interfaces and integration exist between project work and day to day business efforts.

The skill set of a project manager must include the ability to quickly coexist with operational efforts to ensure alignment, eliminate conflict, and ensure value-add to business efforts.  Outsourcing an experienced PM for your projects helps ensure a seamless integration of project work into the operations.
